Sweet Soy Chicken



  1. Ayam Kecap:

    • Marinate the chicken with Knorr Professional Chicken Stock PowderKnorr Professional Lime Seasoning diluted in 100 ml of water, tamarind juice and crushed black pepper. Let stay at least 30 minutes or overnight in the chiller.
    • Preheat the oven to 180-185°C. Arrange the chicken in a greased pan. Drizzle with half the amount of the oil. Roast or broil the chicken until it gets slightly charred for about 8-10 minutes. The chicken does not need to cook all the way through as they would still be simmered in the sauce.
    • In a wok, heat the remaining oil. Saute the onions, garlic, coriander seeds, and chilies until fragrant.
    • Add the Knorr Professional Kecap Manis (Sweet Soya Sauce) and thin it out with a bit of water. Taste and adjust seasoning.
    • Add the pre-cooked chicken pieces into the pan and let it simmer.
