Meat Balls:

  • Lamb, minced 600.0 g
  • Beef, minced 600.0 g
  • Onions, chopped 50.0 g
  • Parsley 50.0 g
  • Mint leaves chopped 10.0 g
  • Cinnamon 2.0 g
  • Arabic mixed spice blend (Baharat) 10.0 g
  • All purpose flour 50.0 g
  • Corn oil 80.0 ml
  • Oil 30.0 ml

Sauce:

  • Onions, julienne 200.0 g
  • Garlic cloves, minced 20.0 g
  • Tomato, paste 100.0 g
  • Oil 50.0 ml

Garnish and Presentation:

  • Roasted Pine nuts 50.0 g
  • Parsley
  1. Meat Balls:

    • Mix, meat, onion, mint, parsley, all spices, cinnamon and Knorr Beef Stock Powder. Knead the meat mix until incorporated, form small 25 gm meatballs.
    • Pass meatballs through the flour and remove excess flour, oil the meatballs and place on a baking tray.
    • Preheat the oven 180°C, and bake the meatballs for 15 minutes.
  2. Sauce:

    • Sauté onion, garlic in oil until soft, add spices then tomato paste, finally Knorr Tomato Pronto, water and Knorr Beef Stock Powder, simmer all ingredients together for only 5 minutes.
    • Pour sauce over the meatballs in the same pan, bake in the oven for another 10 minutes or until meat is cooked and sauce is consistent.
  3. Garnish and Presentation:

    • Sprinkle it with pine nuts and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
    • Serve with white rice pilaf.
