For the Meat Balls:

  • Lamb, minced 600 g
  • Beef, minced 600 g
  • Onions, chopped 50 g
  • Parsley 50 g
  • Mint leaves chopped 10 g
  • Cinnamon 2 g
  • Arabic mixed spice blend (Baharat) 10 g
  • All purpose flour 50 g
  • Knorr Corn Oil (4x5L) 80 ml
  • Oil 30 ml

For the Sauce:

Garnish and Presentation:

  • Roasted Pine nuts 50 g
  • Parsley
  1. For the Meat Balls:

    • Mix, meat, onion, mint, parsley, all spices, cinnamon and Knorr Beef Stock Powder. Knead the meat mix until incorporated, form small 25 gm meat balls.
    • Pass meat balls through flour and remove excess flour, oil the meat balls and place on baking tray.
    • Preheat oven 180°C, and bake the meat balls for 15 minutes.
  2. For the Sauce:

    • Sauté onion, garlic in oil until soft, add spices then tomato paste finally Knorr Tomato Pronto, water and Knorr Beef Stock Powder, simmer all ingredients together for only 5 minutes.
    • Pour sauce over the meat ball in the same pan, bake in oven for another 10 minutes or until meat is cooked and sauce is consistent.
  3. Garnish and Presentation:

    • Sprinkle with pine nuts and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
    • Serve with white rice pilaf.
