  • Beer Brined Chicken Wings (see chicken brine recipes) 1.5 kg
  • Olive oil 45.0 ml
  • Orange Date Beer BBQ Sauce

Dates used in savory preparations are a huge hit in menus. Combining it with BBQ sauce is a sure hit. In this recipe, we added orange flavour to cut through the sweetness and added beer flavour for boldness. We used a non-alcoholic beer to make this recipe Halal-friendly.



  1. Sauce:

    • Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot.
    • Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.
    • Set aside and let it cool.
  2. Chicken:

    • Preheat oven to 175°C.
    • Place the chicken in a baking tray and drizzle with oil.
    • Bake the chicken for 8-10 minutes.
    • Remove the chicken from the oven. Brush the chicken with the BBQ sauce. You can also dip each wing in the sauce.
    • Return the chicken into the oven and continue to bake for 10 more minutes.
    • After 10 minutes, remove from the oven. Brush the chicken with one more layer of BBQ sauce before serving.
